The Austin-East Roadrunners will square off against the Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe Warriors at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. Austin-East is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.1 points per game this season.

Austin-East is headed into the contest having just suffered their closest loss since February 7, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of Pigeon Forge by a score of 41-39.

Despite the defeat, Austin-East got top-tier performance from Tymirrianna Brown, who almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine rebounds. Brown is also crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Ja'Onna Witt, who posted five points in addition to six boards and four steals.

Even though they lost, Austin-East smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in three consecutive matches.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe). They claimed a resounding 69-29 win over North Murray. The victory continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Mountaineers: they've now won four in a row.

Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe's win bumped their record up to 10-14. As for Austin-East, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 14-11 record this season.
