Softball Recap: White Bear Lake Victorious

White Bear Lake won the last time they faced Irondale and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Bears walked away with a 5-1 victory over the Knights. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bears.

Lilly Martin spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on four hits and racked up 13 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts any time she's pitched this season.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Maddie Pearson, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one double. That double marked the first that she has hit this season.

White Bear Lake's record is now 3-4. As for Irondale, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. White Bear Lake will square off against Park at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Irondale, they will challenge East Ridge at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
