Homestead dropped down to 5-3 on Friday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They came up short against the Jefferson Grizzlies, falling 38-12. The Mustangs were red-hot offensively heading into the contest (they scored no less than 31 points in the three games prior), but the Grizzlies' defense proved too tough.

As for Jefferson, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-2. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 30.5 points over those games.

Robert Saulny-Green went supernova, rushing for 84 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries, while also throwing for 113 yards and a pair of TDs. Dominic Howard helped out on the ground, rushing for 92 yards and a rushing touchdown.

Coming up, Homestead will challenge Saratoga at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Falcons will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each matchup than the last. As for Jefferson, they will face off against Cupertino at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Grizzlies will be up against the Pioneers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 37.75 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
