Adding to the longest winning streak in City this week, Serra beat Morse 21-15. The win marks fifth in a row for the the Conquistadors.
San Diego fell to Patrick Henry 49-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Serra's dynamic duo of Hunter Correll and Calvin Crockett proved to be unstoppable against the Tigers, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Correll threw for 171 yards and 3 touchdowns and Crockett had 96 yards receiving. Dominick Littleton helped Serra's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 53 yards.
Daevon Bazzo was a passing and rushing force as Hoover beat Lincoln. He completed 5 passes for 140 yards and 2 touchdowns and also ran for 75 yards. Bazzo's key target this week was Damonte Holiday, who caught 2 passes for 63 yards.
He went 8-23 with 0 interceptions.
The Patriots' Morgan Hatch and Jabril Clewis have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 5-10 quarterback Hatch has thrown for 1,209 yards this season, while Clewis has 42 catches for 560 yards. Brian Basteyns' team's Willie Martinez leads the league in rushing yards with 947.
Martinez of the the Conquistadors is only 53 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season. In 141 carries Martinez has put up 947 yards this year.
The Cardinals are currently in second, while the Cavers are in fifth.
Serra made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 3,640 from 3,993. The improvement was largely due to a 21-15 victory over Morse last week.
