Baseball Recap: Carlinville Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Carlinville took a ten-run defeat the last time they faced off against North Mac, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Cavaliers skirted past the Panthers 2-1. Winning may never get old, but the Cavaliers sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Dom Alepra spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up 11 Ks.

On the hitting side, Carlinville's victory was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Mason Wise, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI. That's the most hits Wise has posted since back in May of 2024.

Carlinville's win bumped their record up to 3-5. As for North Mac, their loss dropped their record down to 8-3.

Looking ahead, Carlinville will take on Litchfield at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for North Mac, they are taking a road trip to challenge Pawnee at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Panthers are facing the Indians at the right time seeing as the Indians are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
