Softball Recap: Antelope Wins Going Away Against Grant

Antelope won the last time they faced Grant and things went their way on Thursday too. The Titans put the hurt on the Pacers with a sharp 14-2 win. The Titans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by ten runs or more this season.

Antelope got a massive performance out of Deanna Richardson, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Those three stolen bases gave Richardson a new career-high. Nikki Nguyen also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Antelope always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .677. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

The victory made it two in a row for Antelope and bumps their season record up to 6-7. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games. As for Grant, they dropped their record down to 1-13-1 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Coming up, Antelope will head out to square off against West Park at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Titans surely won't give up without a fight. As for Grant, they will welcome Cordova at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lancers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.62 runs per game on average), something the Pacers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
