Volleyball Recap: Megan Dekunder and Avery Dougherty Secure Win for Pine-Richland

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Pine-Richland had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They blew past the State College Little Lions 3-0.

The win didn't come easy: State College scored at least 19 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-19, 25-22.

Leading Pine-Richland to victory were Avery Dougherty and Megan DeKunder. Dougherty had 14 assists and eight digs, while DeKunder had 12 digs and two assists.

Pine-Richland has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 18-10 record this season. As for State College, their loss ended a four-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 18-4.

Pine-Richland didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Garnet Valley on the 8th. State College does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
