Football Game Preview: Mt. Vernon/Plankinton Titans vs. Winner Warriors

Mt. Vernon/Plankinton is 1-7 against Winner since September of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Titans are taking a road trip to square off against the Warriors at 7:00 p.m.

On Friday, Mt. Vernon/Plankinton and Chamberlain were almost perfectly matched up, but Mt. Vernon/Plankinton suffered a 7-6 loss. The game marked the Titans' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Meanwhile, after only six points in their last contest, Winner made sure to put some points up on the board against Miller/Highmore/Harrold on Friday. The Warriors took their matchup with ease, bagging a 36-8 win over Miller/Highmore/Harrold. That 28 point margin sets a new team best for the Warriors this season.

The victory got Winner back to even at 3-3. As for Mt. Vernon/Plankinton, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.

Things could have been worse for Mt. Vernon/Plankinton, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 16-0 loss to Winner in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Can the Titans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
