Baseball Recap: Northmont Triumphs

Northmont won against Payton College Prep last Friday with five runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. The Thunderbolts came out on top against the Carroll Patriots by a score of 5-2. This was payback for the Thunderbolts, who suffered a 6-4 defeat the last time these two teams met.

The team relied heavily on Brady Whittaker, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Jayden Snyder, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

Northmont has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 6 runs this season. As for Carroll, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northmont will take on Edgewood at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Carroll, they will face off against Beavercreek at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Beavers will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Patriots surely won't give up without a fight.
