Softball Recap: El Toro Beats Indio for Their Third Straight Win

With a playoff win on the line, El Toro rose to the challenge on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Indio Rajahs as they made off with a 9-3 win. The victory was nothing new for the Chargers as they're now sitting on three straight.

Hayden Stofle spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up six Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Camyrn Bradshaw was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024. Sadie Mitchell was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: El Toro lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post two or more home runs.

El Toro's record is now 14-12-1. As for Indio, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 18-12.

Looking ahead, El Toro will square off against Warren at 3:15 p.m. on Saturday. The Bears' pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so the Chargers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Indio does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
