Volleyball Recap: Palisade Gets the Win

Palisade won the last time they faced Glenwood Springs and things went their way on Friday too. The Bulldogs won by a set and slipped past the Demons 2-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bulldogs.

Among those leading the charge was Lauren McClary, who had eight assists and seven digs. That's the most digs she has posted over her last six matchups.

Palisade was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 14 consecutive matches.

Despite the loss, Glenwood Springs still got an impressive performance from Gianna Zambrano, who had 17 digs. Another player making a difference was Emory Walter, who had 20 assists and four digs.

Palisade's record now sits at 10-11. As for Glenwood Springs, with the defeat, they broke their nine-match winning streak and moved their record to 18-3.

Palisade wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Rifle on the 1st. As for Glenwood Springs, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Pagosa Springs on the 1st.
