It may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Tishomingo County ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They beat the New Albany Bulldogs by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 2-1. The victory was nothing new for the Braves as they're now sitting on eight straight.

Tishomingo County's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 22-12. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games. As for New Albany, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 21-11.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Bulldogs beat Tishomingo County by a score of 5-4 on Saturday.
