Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask West Florida Baptist Academy). Everything went their way against the Atmore Christian Rams on Thursday as they made off with a 26-5 victory. The result was nothing new for the Conquerors, who have now won five games by 12 runs or more so far this season.

Ethan Salter was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched four innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. Salter was even better at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Those three runs gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, West Florida Baptist Academy got a massive performance out of Cruz Duncan, who scored four runs and stole a base while going 3-for-5. The Conquerors are 3-1 when Duncan posts two or more runs, but 3-8 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Jackson Fischer, who went 1-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs.

West Florida Baptist Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .526. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive contests.

West Florida Baptist Academy's win ended a seven-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-9. As for Atmore Christian, their loss was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-12.
