Volleyball Recap: Arleta Comes Up Short

Arleta lost against Poly back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Mustangs lost 3-0 to the Parrots.

Arleta was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-22, 25-13.

Poly can attribute much of their success to Brandon Campos, who had 18 digs and three assists.

Arleta's loss was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Poly, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-8 record this season.

Arleta will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Grant at 4:30 p.m. on the 23rd. As for Poly, they will challenge Panorama at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
