Volleyball Recap: Evans Takes a Loss

Evans was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the St. Vincent's Saints. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Knights of the 2-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.

Evans was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made St. Vincent's work for it, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 25-18.

Evans' loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for St. Vincent's, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Evans will take on Fox Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for St. Vincent's, they will challenge Toombs County at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
