Softball Recap: Bulkeley's Win Ends Six-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Bulkeley's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. Everything went their way against the Hartford Public Owls as they made off with a 33-20 victory. The game was the first time the Bulldogs have beaten the Owls on their field since May 12, 2017.

The team relied heavily on Zorangely Molina, who went 4-for-6 with nine RBI, three runs, and one double. That double was her first of the season. Aaliyah Rodriguez was another key player, getting on base in five of her six plate appearances with four runs and three RBI.

Bulkeley was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .406. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Bulkeley's win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-4. As for Hartford Public, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Bulkeley will square off against rival Civic Leadership at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Hartford Public is set to take on their familiar foe Academy of Aerospace and Engineering at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
