Volleyball Recap: Deseret Peak Golden Eagles vs. Mountain Crest Mustangs
Deseret Peak was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the Mountain Crest Mustangs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.
The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-27, 25-16, 25-9.
Olivia Stump paced Deseret Peak's offense, picking up 13 kills. Stump got some help from Amelia Cannon and her 20 assists. Camaira Sacre controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
Jordan Belles went supernova For Mountain Crest., getting 21 digs and two aces. Those 21 digs gave Belles a new career-high.
Deseret Peak's loss dropped their record down to 3-19. As for Mountain Crest, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 16-10.
