Soccer Game Preview: Walker vs. Mount Pisgah Christian

The Walker Wolverines are taking a road trip to square off against the Mount Pisgah Christian Patriots at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mount Pisgah Christian took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Walker, who comes in off a win.

Walker took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. Everything went their way against South Cobb as they made off with a 4-0 victory.

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last four times Mount Pisgah Christian and Fellowship Christian have met, but the home crowd finally got their W two weeks ago. The Patriots came up short against the Paladins, falling 5-1. The loss continues a trend for Mount Pisgah Christian in their meetings with Fellowship Christian: they've now lost three in a row.

Walker is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 18 goals over those four matches. As for Mount Pisgah Christian, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Walker couldn't quite get it done against Mount Pisgah Christian when the teams last played back in April of 2019 as they fell 3-1. Can the Wolverines avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
