Basketball Recap: Hemingford Find Success

On Friday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, the Hemingford Bobcats beat the South Platte Blue Knights 59-55.

Several Blue Knights players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Quinten Koenen, who went 8 of 20 en route to 21 points and seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Joshua Estrada, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten boards.

Hemingford's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-7. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.3 points per game. As for South Platte, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hemingford will take on Edgemont at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Edgemont has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
