Softball Recap: Pettus Comes Up Short

Pettus was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 15th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 13-1 to the George West Longhorns. If the Eagles were looking for revenge after losing 13-5 to the Longhorns when the teams met back in February of 2022, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Pettus' defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for George West, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-3.

Looking ahead, Pettus will hit the road for the first time this season to challenge Banquete at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for George West, they will square off against Rockport-Fulton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
