Softball Recap: Senatobia Takes a Loss

Senatobia fell victim to Lafayette and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Commodores, falling 12-0. The Warriors haven't had much luck with the Commodores recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Senatobia saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bayleigh Sims, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double. Kelsey Hoffman also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Senatobia's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Lafayette, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season.

Senatobia will square off against Southaven at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Lafayette, they will take on St. Benedict at Auburndale at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. St. Benedict at Auburndale will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Lafayette surely won't give up without a fight.
