Softball Recap: Swanton Now 3-1 over Last Four Games

The matchup between Swanton and Tinora on Saturday hardly resembled the 2-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Bulldogs came out on top against the Rams by a score of 11-8. This was payback for the Bulldogs, who suffered a 2-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Alexa Faber made a splash while hitting and pitching. She tossed 3.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-5 with two runs and two RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jordyn Ramirez, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. What's more, she posted two doubles, the most she's had since back in April. Another player making a difference was Gabbie Orner, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Swanton has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-13 record this season. As for Tinora, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-11.

Coming up, Swanton will challenge Southview at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Tinora, they will square off against Defiance at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
