Recap: Stratford Knights vs. Wando Warriors
The Stratford Knights's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their sixth straight loss. They fell to Wando 62-58. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Several Knights players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Amari Washington, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds. Kristion Swift was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Stratford has been struggling recently, as they've lost seven of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season. As for Wando, they pushed their record up to 11-8 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home.
Stratford will take on Berkeley at 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Berkeley presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Stratford in South Carolina (Berkeley is ranked 42nd, while Stratford is ranked 151st). As for Wando, they will head out on the road to square off against Goose Creek at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Goose Creek has insisted on making their lastthree contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 0-3 during that stretch of close contests.
