Volleyball Recap: Blooming Grove Lions vs. Grandview Zebras
Blooming Grove was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Grandview Zebras. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lions of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2022.
The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-15, 25-11.
Blooming Grove's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-12. As for Grandview, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 25-8.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought when Lions takes on Panthers at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Blooming Grove is facing Maypearl at the right time seeing as Maypearl is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Grandview, they are on the road again on Friday to play Scurry-Rosser at 4:30 p.m.
