On Friday, Grimsley faced Rolesville in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Grimsley Whirlies took down the Rolesville Rams 35-20. That's more bragging rights for the Whirlies, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Grimsley's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Hudson Cooper led the charge by picking up 200 receiving yards and two touchdowns. The win made it two in a row for Grimsley and bumps their season record up to 2-0. As for Rolesville, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Grimsley will welcome Reagan at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Grimsley will be looking to keep their nine-game home win streak dating back to last season alive. As for Rolesville, they will host East Wake at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
