Baseball Game Preview: Louisville Lions vs. Concordia/Brownell/Omaha Christian Academy

The Louisville Lions will venture away from home to face off against Concordia/Brownell/Omaha Christian Academy on Monday. Louisville has given up an average of 9.6 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Louisville is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 16 runs on Thursday, they were much more limited against Plattsmouth on Saturday. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (16-2), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time.

Meanwhile, Concordia/Brownell/Omaha Christian Academy came up short against Gross Catholic on Wednesday and fell 9-6.

Concordia/Brownell/Omaha Christian Academy saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nolan Swett, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Concordia/Brownell/Omaha Christian Academy has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.5 runs over those games. As for Louisville, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.

Louisville might still be hurting after the 10-2 loss they got from Concordia/Brownell/Omaha Christian Academy in their previous meeting back in April of 2023. Can the Lions avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
