Conifer piles up the points against Alameda

Recap: Conifer Lobos vs. Alameda Pirates

The Conifer Lobos scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Alameda 71-36 on the road. The win was a breath of fresh air for Conifer as it put an end to their six-game losing streak.

Conifer was led to victory by Benson White and Issac Pratt. White dropped a double-double on 18 points and 14 rebounds, while Pratt dropped a double-double on 17 points and 15 rebounds. White also posted two blocks for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Evan Dougherty, who scored 12 points along with three steals.

Despite the loss, Alameda had strong showings from Aidan Dobbins, who scored 12 points along with three steals, and Brian Sanchez, who scored 12 points.

Conifer's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-11. As for Alameda, their loss was their seventh straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-11.

Conifer will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Standley Lake at 7:30 p.m. on January 26th. Standley Lake will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. Alameda won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Kennedy at 7:00 p.m. on January 25th. Hopefully Kennedy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 last Tuesday.
