Basketball Game Preview: Kee Kee Hawks vs. Riceville Wildcats

The Kee Kee Hawks will face off against the Riceville Wildcats on Friday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Kee sitting on seven straight victories and Riceville on 21.

Kee can't be too worried about heading out to take on Riceville: they just beat Turkey Valley at home, who had been dominant on their own court up to that point. Kee took down Turkey Valley 46-28 on Tuesday.

Fans were treated to a Battle of the Wildcats on Tuesday. Riceville claimed a resounding 67-27 win over Janesville. Riceville has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 contests by 24 points or more this season.

Kee pushed their record up to 16-6 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.0 points over those games. As for Riceville, their win bumped their record up to 21-1.

Everything went Kee's way against Riceville in their previous meeting back in February of 2021, as Kee made off with a 58-38 victory. Will Kee repeat their success, or does Riceville have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
