Softball Recap: Tivy Antlers vs. Seguin Matadors
There's no place like home for Tivy, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They had just enough and edged the Seguin Matadors out 14-13. This was payback for Tivy, who suffered a 20-9 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Kyra Wheatfall and Shayla Roth did most of the damage at the plate: Wheatfall went 2-for-4 with a home run, three runs, and four RBI, while Roth got on base in four of her five plate appearances with a home run and four RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Mariah McCullough, who went 3-for-5 with four RBI and two doubles.
Tivy has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season. As for Seguin, their loss dropped their record down to 23-11-2.
