Football Game Recap: Smithville vs. Belmont

Smithville might have drawn first blood against Belmont on Friday, but it was Belmont who got the last laugh. Smithville were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap, as they fell 12-16 to Belmont. Smithville was given a dose of their own medicine in this game, as Belmont apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time they met. This was the first contest for both squads, starting Smithville off on the wrong foot at 0-1, while giving Belmont a 1-0 record.

Next week, Smithville take on Hatley at HATLEY HS at 7:00 PM. As for Belmont, they will face of against South Pontotoc.
