Softball Recap: Glenn Find Success

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against East View, Glenn was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Shoemaker Wolves 2-1. The Grizzlies haven't had any issues with the Wolves recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Kiplyn Vitela tossed a big game, striking out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. Those six strikeouts gave her a new career-high.

On the hitting side, Glenn's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Paige Gilmore, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

The victory got Glenn back to even at 1-1-1. As for Shoemaker, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Coincidentally, Glenn and Shoemaker will both be playing Holland the next time they take the field. The Grizzlies will head out to face the Hornets at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, while the Wolves will play them later in the day, at 3:00 p.m.
