Soccer Recap: Rich Township Comes Up Short

Rich Township was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 9-0 to the Wilmington Wildcats. That's two games in a row now that Rich Township have lost by exactly nine goals.

Rich Township's loss dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Wilmington, their victory bumped their record up to 5-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rich Township will venture away from home to take on Bloom at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Wilmington, they will challenge Streator/Woodland at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Wilmington will be up against Streator/Woodland's rather soft defense (which has allowed 3.11 goals per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
