Basketball Recap: Bisbee Takes a Loss

Bisbee suffered their biggest loss since December 14, 2024 on Thursday. They had to suffer through a 68-40 loss at the hands of the Morenci Wildcats. The Pumas were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Despite the loss, Bisbee still got an impressive performance from Sebastian Lopez, who posted 15 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals. That was a full 37.5% of Bisbee's points, marking the seventh time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Hunter Wright, who had seven points along with six boards and four steals.

Bisbee's loss dropped their record down to 14-12. As for Morenci, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 25-4 record this season.

As of now, neither Bisbee nor Morenci have any future games scheduled.
