Softball Recap: Broaddus Finishes Even with Corrigan-Camden

Fans were treated to a battle of the Bulldogs on Wednesday. Broaddus and Corrigan-Camden finished up their match with a 7-7 draw.

Laila Holloway spent all nine innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and five unearned) runs on eight hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time she's pitched this season.

With that tie, Broaddus' record moves to 1-1-1. As for Corrigan-Camden, they moved theirs to 10-1-1.

Coming up, Broaddus will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Joaquin at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Corrigan-Camden, they will challenge Groveton at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Groveton's pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so Corrigan-Camden's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
