Volleyball Recap: Lanesville Eagles vs. Christian Academy Warriors
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Eastern, Lanesville was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They had just enough and edged the Christian Academy Warriors out 2-1. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Eagles also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2023.
It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Lanesville got the one that really mattered. The final score came out to 25-19, 18-25, 15-12.
Sydney Hodges was the offensive standout of the match as she had nine digs.
Lanesville was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Christian Academy only served seven.
The win got Lanesville back to even at 7-7. As for Christian Academy, the loss snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 9-6 record.
Coincidentally, both will both be playing Evansville Christian the next time they take the court. Lanesville will head out to face Evansville Christian at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, while Christian Academy will play them later in the day, at 9:00 a.m.
