After a string of five wins, Tennessee's good fortune finally ran out  on Thursday. They came up short against  the Science Hill Hilltoppers, falling  3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest  defeat the Vikings have suffered  since August 26th.
 Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-19,  25-16.
 Zoey Phillips paced Tennessee's offense, picking up seven kills. Phillips got some help from  Bree Adams and her 12 assists.  Ashton Blair controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.
 Leading Science Hill to victory were  Riley Shroyer and  Kaitlyn Wallace.  Shroyer  had 12  digs, while  Wallace  had nine  digs. That's the most  digs  Shroyer has posted  over her last 12  contests.
Tennessee's loss dropped their record down to 17-7. As for Science Hill, the  victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 22-6.
 Tennessee didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  match,  a  2-0  win against North Greene on the 27th. As for Science Hill, they have also already played their next matchup,  a  2-0  victory against Halls on the 27th.
