Basketball Game Preview: Rocky Mountain Grizzlies vs. Greybull Buffaloes

Rocky Mountain has gone a perfect 10-0 against Greybull recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Rocky Mountain Grizzlies will be playing at home against the Greybull Buffaloes at 4:30 p.m. The timing is sure in Rocky Mountain's favor as the squad sits on six straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Greybull has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road.

Rocky Mountain is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Wyoming's top teams: Wyoming Indian, who was ranked 18th at the time (Rocky Mountain was ranked 20th). Rocky Mountain walked away with a 48-35 victory over Wyoming Indian on Saturday. That's two games straight that the Grizzlies have won by exactly 13 points.

Rocky Mountain got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Lauren Bassett out in front who dropped a double-double with 16 points and 17 rebounds. The dominant performance gave Bassett a new career-high in boards. Another player making a difference was Brittly Boettcher, who went 5 of 10 to rack up 15 points and six rebounds.

Rocky Mountain smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in eight consecutive matches.

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Greybull beat Riverside 45-41 on Thursday.

Greybull's victory bumped their record up to 4-14. As for Rocky Mountain, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.

Rocky Mountain didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Greybull in their previous matchup back in January, but they still walked away with a 36-32 win.
