Baseball Recap: Cumberland County Takes a Loss

Cumberland County was the 5-3 winner over DeKalb County when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Jets took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers on Tuesday.

Eli Ostrander was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Titus Ostrander, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles.

Cumberland County has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season. As for DeKalb County, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-15.

Coming up, Cumberland County will head out on the road to square off against Warren County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for DeKalb County, they will be playing at home against Westmoreland at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
