Basketball Game Preview: Trinity Wolves vs. Weed Cougars

Trinity hasn't had much luck against Weed recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Wolves will challenge the Cougars at 8:30 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Tuesday.

Weed will be up against a hot Trinity team: the squad just extended their winning streak to four. Everything went the Wolves' way against Modoc on Saturday as they made off with a 63-41 victory. The Wolves have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Weed against Fall River on Friday as the team secured a 65-34 win. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Cougars' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 493rd, while the Bulldogs are ranked 1312th).

Trinity's record now sits at 17-8. As for Weed, their record is now 16-9.

Trinity couldn't quite get it done against Weed in their previous meeting back in January as they fell 69-57. Can the Wolves avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
