Baseball Game Preview: Holy Family Academy Padres vs. Trinity Christian Warriors

The Holy Family Academy Padres will head out to face off against the Trinity Christian Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Holy Family Academy barely beat Heritage Academy the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Padres were the clear victors by a 12-3 margin over the Heroes on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Padres, who have now won three matchups by nine runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Trinity Christian got the win against Thunderbird Adventist Academy on Thursday by a conclusive 10-1. The Warriors haven't had any issues with Thunderbird Adventist Academy recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Ethan Feddema and Connor Wallace made a splash while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Feddema struck out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Wallace didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 13 over five innings pitched. Those 13 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. At bat, Feddema scored two runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-4, while Wallace scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Josh Partin, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in triples (two). Carson Matock was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-4.

Holy Family Academy's record now sits at 4-2. As for Trinity Christian, their record is now 4-1.

Holy Family Academy might still be hurting after the 23-7 loss they got from Trinity Christian in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Padres avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
