Desert View's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7-1. As for Rio Rico, their victory bumped their record up to 9-4-2.

Desert View took their win against Rio Rico when the teams last played back in November of 2023 by a conclusive 4-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Desert View since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
