Softball Recap: Springfield Takes a Loss

Springfield was the 12-9 winner over St. Mary when they last played one another on Tuesday, but their luck changed this time around. The Tigers took a 10-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Knights on Tuesday.

Faye Williams spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and eight unearned) runs on eight hits.

Springfield now has a losing record of 1-2. As for St. Mary's, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Springfield will square off against rival Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, St. Mary's is set to face off against their familiar foe Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
