The Milford Eagles will square off against the Springfield Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Milford has eight straight wins, Springfield has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Springfield's hitters are going to have their work cut out for them on Monday: Milford hadn't allowed a single run the last three times they've hit the field. The Eagles' pitcher stepped up to hand Loveland a 16-0 shutout on Friday. Considering the Eagles have won 12 contests by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Maddie Varner, who fired off two home runs, five RBI, and three runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Those two home runs gave her a new career-high. Paige Kinkaid was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three runs and one RBI.
Milford was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .455. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Loveland only posted a batting average of .235.
Meanwhile, Springfield came up short against Wayne on Monday, falling 10-4.
Addison Wolford made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run, two RBI, and one double.
Milford's victory bumped their record up to 21-3. As for Springfield, their loss dropped their record down to 8-15.
