League recap: Leander falls to upstart Cedar Park

Cedar Park scored a stunning upset when it knocked off Leander, 14-10. At the time, the Lions was ranked 15th in the state, while the Timberwolves was 147th.

The biggest upset of the week belonged to Leander, who took down 15th ranked Leander, 14-10.

Dripping Springs's dynamic duo of KYLE JOHNSON and COLE ROGERS proved tough for Rouse to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. JOHNSON threw for 219 yards and one touchdown and ROGERS had 137 yards receiving. ELI SHELTON helped Dripping Springs' passing attack out by catching two balls for 44 yards.

Caleb Woodward was the most productive running back in 4A Region IV District 25 this week. He ran for 171 yards on 29 carries as Clint Harper's team fell to the Raiders.

Marble Falls's Mike Richardson and Garrett Gray have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Richardson has thrown for 1485 yards this season, while Gray has 36 catches for 556 yards. The Lions' Woodward leads the league in rushing yards with 822.

A big matchup in the league this week will be when Rouse takes on Leander. As it stands, Joshua Mann's team is in second, while the Lions are in third.

Cedar Park moved up to 79 from 147 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in 4A Region IV District 25. Chris Ross's team climbed the ranks as a result of a 14-10 win over Leander.
