Baseball Recap: Almeta Crawford Gets the Win

Almeta Crawford never let their opponents score on Saturday. They walked away with a 5-0 victory over the Randle Lions. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Chargers.

Aiden Hernandez looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over four innings pitched. Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

On the hitting side, Joey Garcia was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Shields, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.

Almeta Crawford was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Randle only posted a batting average of .071.

Almeta Crawford's win bumped their record up to 9-3-3. As for Randle, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-5-2.

Looking ahead, Almeta Crawford will be playing at home against Bellville at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Randle, they will take on Victoria East at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
