Softball Recap: Andrean Fighting 59ers vs. Hanover Central Wildcats        
        
		
            
 Andrean waltzed into their contest  on Monday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They walked away with  an   8-5  victory over the Hanover Central Wildcats. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Andrean also won the last time the pair played  back in May of 2023.
  Maggie Voliva and  Elaine Doukas did most of the damage at the plate:  Voliva  scored three  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances, while  Doukas  scored a  run while going 2-for-2. Voliva continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's  played.  Sadie Drousias was another key contributor,  scoring a  run and  stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.
 On Hanover Central's side,  Sienna Stilley was cooking despite her team's loss,   going 2-for-3 with a  home run. Another player making a difference was  Gabi Comia, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 2-for-4.
 Andrean pushed their record up to 9-1 with that  win, which was their seventh straight  at home dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 7.1 runs per game. As for Hanover Central, their  loss was their first of the  season and makes their record 3-1.
 Andrean will look to defend their home field  on Wednesday against Kankakee Valley at 4:45  p.m. As for Hanover Central, they will be staying on the road  on Tuesday to face off against Wheeler at 5:00  p.m. Hanover Central is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 10.5  runs per game this season.
