The home team had won the previous four meetings between Devils Lake and Fargo North, and Devils Lake kept the tradition alive. The Firebirds were the clear victors by a 12-3 margin over the Spartans on Tuesday. The Firebirds might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by six runs or more this season.

Mason Palmer made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He struck out ten batters over seven innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted over his last four games. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two runs. That home run was his first of the season.

In other batting news, Taydon Triepke was a standout: he went a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Cayden McCarthy, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, two doubles, and two RBI.

Devils Lake was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .452. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Devils Lake's victory bumped their record up to 13-9. As for Fargo North, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-11.
