Tipton gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Eastern Comets by a score of 41-28. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Blue Devils as it put an end to their 23-game losing streak dating back to last season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Tipton to victory, but perhaps none more so than Mackenzie Farinella, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Farinella a new career-high in assists (five). Makayla Schinlaub was another key player, posting seven points along with three steals.
Tipton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 40-13 loss against Logansport on the 7th. Eastern has also already played their next contest, a 35-24 defeat against Elwood on the 7th.
