Volleyball Preview: Kensington KENSINGTON TIGER vs. Olney Trojans

The Kensington KENSINGTON TIGER will be defending their home-court for the first time this season they go up against the Olney Trojans at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday.

Kensington is headed into their home opener looking to turn things around after starting their season on the road. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Science Leadership Academy at Beeber on September 4th. The KENSINGTON TIGER's loss continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row dating back to last season.

While Kensington had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 15 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-17, 13-25, 25-15.

Meanwhile, Olney earned a 3-1 win over Tacony Academy Charter on Monday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Trojans.

The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 21-25, 25-14, 25-17.

Yorianny Velasquez and Wilvianys Garriga were among the main playmakers for Olney as the former had 15 aces, three digs, and three digs and the latter had 13 aces. The team also got some help courtesy of Joselyn Rodriguez-Almendra, who had four aces, two kills, and two kills.
