            Baseball Preview: Webster County Trojans vs. Henderson County Colonels        
        
		
        
        
            Webster County hasn't had much luck against Henderson County recently, but that could start to change  on Tuesday. The Trojans will venture away from home to  square off against the Colonels  at 5:30  p.m. Given that  the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this  game.
For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last five times Webster County and Madisonville-North Hopkins have met, but the home crowd finally got their W  on Monday. The Trojans took  a  12-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Maroons. That's two games in a row now that the Trojans have lost by  exactly five  runs.
  Pryce Pearcy made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and  fired off two  home runs and five  RBI while going 3-for-4.  Dalton Hearrin also deserves some recognition as  he  scored his first  run of the season.
Meanwhile, Henderson County was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Monday as the team picked up their third straight  defeat. They fell  5-1 to McLean County.
Henderson County also got a good showing from  Evan Henshaw, who   tossed 2.1 innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. Henshaw has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks any time he's  pitched this season.
 At the plate, Henderson County saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Tucker Siewert, who  got on base  in three of his four plate appearances with one  RBI.
 Henderson County's loss dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Webster County, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-10.
 Webster County might still be hurting after the  6-0 loss they got from Henderson County  in their previous meeting  back in April of 2024. Can the Trojans avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
